Picture a mid-size concert hall packed with people, roughly a thousand seats filled shoulder to shoulder. That's about how many records, 1,054 to be exact, showed up in a stealer log labeled 953 hotmail that a Telegram user posted in June 2025. Small compared to some of the leaks HEROIC tracks, but still a thousand real people whose logins are now floating around for free.

Why This Is Dangerous

It's wierd how a leak this size can slip past most people's radar simply because the number sounds small. But 1,054 plaintext passwords, each one sitting right next to the email address and URL it belongs to, is still 1,054 chances for an attacker to walk straight into someone's inbox without lifting a finger to guess anything.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses (largely Hotmail)
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs linking each credential to its source site
  • 1,054 total records exposed

Why This Matters

If you try to compair this leak to a mass breach involving millions of accounts, it might look minor. It isn't, not to the 1,054 people whose Hotmail credentials are inside it. A smaller file like this one is often more targeted too, sometimes filtered specifically for one email provider, which can make the data more valuable to a criminal looking for a particular kind of account to exploit.

How Stealer Logs Work

Files like 953 hotmail come from the same stealer malware playbook every time. Malicious software installs itself on a victim's device, usually without them noticing anything, and quietly copies every saved password and cookie out of the browser. The stolen data gets bundled into a log and either sold or given away, in this case seemingly filtered down to just Hotmail accounts before it hit Telegram.

Check If You Are Affected

Whether a leak involves a thousand records or a hundred million, we always reccommend the same first step: check your exposure. HEROIC's free breach scanner searches more than 400 billion leaked records, including logs like this one, so you can find out in seconds if your Hotmail account was one of the 1,054 caught up in this leak.
