HEROIC analysts discovered a stealer log file posted to Telegram in February 2026, labeled "10K Mail Access Good" by the threat actor who uploaded it. The file contains 10,174 records including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs. The phrase "good" in the file name indicates the credentials were tested and confirmed to be working at the time of distribution, meaning attackers knew these logins were active before sharing them.

Why Verified Working Mail Credentials Are Immediately Actionable for Attackers

Most stolen credential files contain a mix of active and expired logins. Files explicitly labeled as tested or "good" have already been filtered so every record is more likely to work. That makes this dataset significantly more dangerous than a typical data dump. Attackers do not need to waste time checking validity. They can go straight to using these email accounts to access inbox content, reset passwords on linked services, and commit financial fraud or identity theft.

What Was Exposed in the 10K Mail Access Stealer Log

  • Email addresses belonging to active accounts
  • Plaintext passwords, unencrypted and immediately usable
  • URLs associated with the specific services where credentials were captured

Why Active Mail Credentials Enable Account Takeover Across the Internet

Email accounts are the master key to your entire online identity. With access to your inbox, an attacker can request password resets for your bank, investment accounts, shopping profiles, and social media. They can also read your messages to find personal information that helps them answer security questions or impersonate you. Credential stuffing attacks using comprimised email logins are one of the most common causes of financial fraud reported to cybersecurity agencies. Even if you have changed your password since this data was stolen, accounts linked to that email may still be at risk if you have not updated those passwords too.

How Tested Combolists Like This One Are Created

Cybercriminals use automated tools to test stolen credentials against popular email providers. Valid logins are seperated from invalid ones and repackaged into "clean" files that command higher prices on dark web markets. These tested lists are then uploaded to Telegram for free distribution or sold in private channels. Stealer log malware on infected devices is the original source of the raw data, but the testing and curation process makes the resulting file far more dangerous than an untested credential dump.
