A .FR Mail Access Stealer Log Handed Attackers 12,298 Working Logins

In February 2026, HEROIC analysts tracked a stealer log circulating on Telegram under the label "12.000 .FR Mail Access." The file contains 12,298 records, each one an email address, a plaintext password, and the exact URL where that credential was typed in. HEROIC's records tie the exposed accounts to the United States.

What Attackers Can Do With This Data

Because the passwords are stored in plaintext and paired with the URL each one unlocks, an attacker doesn't need to guess or crack anything, they can log straight into the matching site. With 12,298 working email-and-password pairs in hand, that is enough to run automated login attempts across banking sites, webmail, and social platforms at scale, testing which accounts still use the same credentials today.

What Was Exposed in the 12.000 .FR Mail Access Dump

  • Email addresses tied to .FR mail accounts
  • Plaintext passwords with no hashing or encryption
  • URLs identifying which login page each credential belongs to

Why This Matters for Anyone Who Reuses Passwords

A stolen email and password pair is rarely just a problem for one account. Attackers routinely feed leaked credentials into automated tools that try the same combination across hundreds of other websites, a technique known as credential stuffing. If you have reused this password anywhere else, from online banking to shopping accounts, this leak could open the door to identity theft or financial fraud well beyond the original .FR mail account.

How a Stealer Log Like This Gets Built

Stealer malware infects a device, often through a cracked application or a malicious download, and then quietly scrapes every password saved in the browser, along with the website each one logs into. The malware ships that data back to its operator, who bundles it into a labeled file like "12.000 .FR Mail Access" and distributes or sells it through Telegram channels and dark web marketplaces. The gap between infection and public exposure, roughly five months in this case, is typical: victims often have no idea their credentials are circulating until long after the fact.
