The 135 Sling TV Accounts Leak Dates Back to 2023 and Is Still Circulating

In January 2023, a Telegram user uploaded a combolist containing 135 Sling TV account records. HEROIC threat analysts identified the file still circulating years later, with each record made up of an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL the login was used on. Even years after it first surfaced, the file keeps getting passed around because the credentials inside it still work until someone changes them.

Why a Leak Like This Is Dangerous

The passwords in this file are stored in plaintext, so anyone who gets the list can read the exact login for each of the 135 accounts without any extra effort. Beyond losing access to a streaming subscription, the real danger is password reuse. Many people use the same email and password combination across multiple sites, so a Sling TV login can become the key to a victim's email, banking, or shopping accounts too.

What Was Exposed in the Sling TV Combolist

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs linking each credential to the site it was used on

Why This Matters Beyond a Streaming Account

Credentials like these are exactly what fuel credential stuffing attacks, where automated tools test the same email and password pair against dozens of other services. What starts as a stolen streaming login can escalate into account takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud if the victim reused that password anywhere with more sensitive information on the line.

How a Combolist Like This Stays Alive for Years

A combolist is a compiled file of username or email and password pairs, often collected from small breaches or account sharing services and passed around Telegram channels. Because these files are easy to copy and rarely deleted from every server or chat, a combolist from 2023 like this one can still be traded and reused in 2026, long after the original leak occurred.
