1,516 Hotmail Logins Leaked in Telegram Combo List, Check Now
Hotmail Credentials Surface in a Telegram Combo List
HEROIC analysts identified a combo list titled "1.9K Hotmail Combo list Full Valid," uploaded to a Telegram channel on June 12, 2026. The file contained 1,516 records pairing Hotmail email addresses with plaintext passwords and the web addresses (URLs) where those credentials were used.
Why This Is Dangerous
Because the passwords in this list were stored and shared in plaintext, anyone who downloads the file can log straight into the affected Hotmail inboxes without cracking or guessing anything. Pairing each login with its matching URL makes the data even more useful to an attacker, since it tells them exactly which site the credentials unlock, whether that is the Hotmail inbox itself or another account tied to that email.
What Was Exposed
- Hotmail email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- Associated login URLs
Why This Matters
People frequently reuse the same password across multiple accounts. A working Hotmail and password pair can be tested against banking portals, shopping accounts, and social media through a technique called credential stuffing. If the reused password works elsewhere, the attacker gains a foothold for account takeover, and a compromised email inbox can be used to reset passwords on other services, widening the damage far beyond Hotmail.
How Stealer Log and Combo List Leaks Work
Lists like this one typically originate from information-stealing malware that infects a victim's computer and quietly copies saved browser passwords, autofill data, and browsing history. The stolen data is packaged into a log file, and cybercriminals on Telegram sort and merge these logs into "combo lists," which pair usernames with passwords for easy reuse. A list labeled "Full Valid" signals that the seller has already tested the credentials and confirmed they still work.
