16,208 People’s Credentials Stolen in the SNATCH_CLOUD1 Stealer log
HEROIC found that on December 17, 2021, a Stealer log file identified as SNATCH_CLOUD1 was uploaded by a Telegram user, exposing 16,208 records containing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs from the United States.
Why the SNATCH_CLOUD1 Breach Is Dangerous
With 16,208 plaintext credential pairs exposed, attackers have a large, immediately usable attack dataset. No password cracking is required. Each email and password combination can be fed directly into credential stuffing tools that test logins across banking sites, email platforms, and cloud services at scale. The included URL data tells attackers exactly which services each victim was using, allowing them to prioritize the most valuable accounts.

Why This SNATCH_CLOUD1 Data Puts You at Risk
Stealer log files circulate through criminal networks within hours of being posted to Telegram. Automated credential stuffing campaigns test thousands of logins per minute, meaning accounts can be compromised before victims even learn of the breach. Password reuse is the primary multiplier of harm: one exposed login can unlock email, banking, cloud storage, and retail accounts in quick succession, leading to financial loss and identity theft.
How Stealer log Works
Stealer malware is typically spread through pirated software, fake browser extensions, or phishing email links. Once installed on a device, the malware silently copies every saved password, session cookie, and autofill entry from all installed browsers, then compresses the data into a structured log. That log is uploaded to Telegram where cybercriminals download it and begin exploiting the stolen credentials immediately.
