This one has been sitting around for a while. Back in January 2025, a file titled "4960x FRESH HOTMAIL ACCESS COMBO - OCTOFREECLOUD" appeared on a Telegram channel, carrying 3,410 records of Hotmail logins. Seventeen months later, that file is still out there, still downloadable, and still just as dangerous to anyone whose password hasn't changed since.

Why This Is Dangerous

People often assume that an old leak is a safe leak, that enough time has passed for the danger to fade. That's rarely true. Files like this one get copied, reposted, and passed around long after the original upload, wich means the 3,410 records inside never really stop circulating, they just keep finding new hands.

What Was Exposed

  • 3,410 total records
  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs tied to each account

Why This Matters

If you were using the same Hotmail password back in January 2025 that you're using today, this seventeen month old leak is just as much of a threat to you right now as it was the day it was posted. Every seperate account that shares that password is still exposed.

How Stealer Logs Work

Combo files like this one are built from stolen browser credentials, harvested by malware that infects a device and quietly copies saved logins. Once collected, the data gets branded, in this case labeled "fresh" and tied to a specific distributor name, then uploaded and left to circulate on Telegram indefinitely, often resurfacing on new channels long after the original post.

Check If You Are Affected

Time doesn't make old leaks safe, so check now rather than assuming this one doesn't apply to you. HEROIC's free breach scanner searches more than 400 billion leaked records, old and new, so you can confirm your exposure in seconds.
