HEROIC's dark web monitoring systems discovered a stealer log file titled "200K Food Mix Domain" shared on Telegram in March 2023. This large dataset contains 177,989 records of stolen credentials targeting users of food-related domains, including restaurant ordering platforms, delivery services, recipe sites, and food industry portals. The sheer volume of exposed credentials makes this one of the larger industry-targeted dumps HEROIC has catalogued.

177,989 Passwords Exposed Without Any Protection

Every password in this dataset is stored in plaintext, meaning there is no cryptographic barrier between attackers and victim accounts. With nearly 178,000 readable passwords available, attackers have an enormous pool of credentials to exploit. Each entry is a complete login ready to be used the moment the file is downloaded. The plaintext format means even low-skill attackers can successfully compromise accounts without any technical knowledge of password cracking.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses — user accounts registered with food delivery, restaurant, and food industry platforms
  • Plaintext Passwords — fully unencrypted credentials spanning nearly 178,000 accounts
  • URLs — the food-related websites and services where each login was intercepted

Why Food Platform Credentials Lead to Bigger Breaches

Food delivery and restaurant accounts may seem low-value, but they frequently contain stored payment methods, home addresses, and phone numbers. Attackers use credential stuffing to test these 177,989 email-password pairs against the same users' banking, email, and social media accounts. Food platform accounts are particularly valuable because they often have saved credit cards that can be used for fraudulent orders. Additionally, the delivery addresses reveal victims' home locations, enabling physical security threats alongside digital ones.

The Malware Supply Chain Behind This Data

Infostealer malware generated this entire dataset by running silently on infected devices. Users were likely compromised through malicious ads on food-related websites, fake mobile apps mimicking popular delivery platforms, or phishing emails disguised as order confirmations. The malware extracted browser-saved passwords for food ordering sites, captured login forms during checkout processes, and stole cookies that maintain active sessions. The resulting logs were filtered by domain category and packaged as the "Food Mix Domain" collection for distribution on Telegram.

Check If Your Credentials Were Exposed
