18,358 Stolen Logins in the BabaCloudLogs Leak Could Unlock More
BabaCloudLogs Leak Exposes 18,358 Logins That Could Chain Further
HEROIC analysts found a stealer log file labeled "BabaCloudLogs 350 Cloud Logs" that a Telegram user uploaded on September 23, 2025. The file contained 18,358 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the login page it belongs to. One stolen login rarely stays isolated: the same email and password are often the key to several other accounts too.
Why This Is Dangerous
Because these passwords were exposed in plaintext, there is no encryption for an attacker to break. Anyone who obtains this file can pair each email, password, and URL and log in directly. If that password unlocks an email account, an attacker can often use it to reset passwords on other services too, turning one leaked login into access across multiple accounts.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the associated login pages
Why This Matters
A dataset of 18,358 records is more than enough to fuel credential stuffing attacks, where automated tools test each stolen email and password pair against other popular sites. Because people commonly reuse the same password everywhere, one leaked credential can open the door to account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud across several unrelated services.
How Stealer Logs Work
A stealer log comes from infostealer malware that infects a device through a malicious download, cracked software, or a phishing link. Once installed, it quietly harvests saved browser passwords, autofill data, and session details, then bundles everything into a log file. These files are commonly shared or sold on Telegram channels shortly after collection, which is exactly how BabaCloudLogs became public.
