HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log upload in June 2023 in which a Telegram user publicly shared a file known as 303 BR LOGS. The file contained 4,247 records harvested from infected devices, including plaintext passwords, email addresses, and URLs pointing to the services victims were logged into. This type of exposure puts real accounts at immediate risk.

Why the 303 BR LOGS Stealer Log Is Dangerous

Unlike a hacked database, stealer logs are collected directly from victims' computers using malware. That means the passwords in this file were captured as they were typed or stored, giving attackers ready-to-use credentials. Because the passwords are in plaintext, no cracking is required. Anyone with access to this file can attempt to log into the associated accounts right away.

What Was Exposed in 303 BR LOGS

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs (the websites and services the victims were logged into)

Why This Matters

When plaintext passwords are combined with email addresses and the exact websites they belong to, attackers have everything they need for credential stuffing attacks, account takeovers, and identity theft. Many people reuse passwords across multiple services, which means one exposed credential can unlock accounts on banking, social media, email, and shopping platforms far beyond the original site listed in the log.

How Stealer Logs Like 303 BR LOGS Work

Stealer logs are created by a category of malware called information stealers, often distributed through phishing emails, fake software downloads, or malicious ads. Once installed on a device, the malware silently collects saved passwords, browser cookies, and login URLs before packaging them into a file and sending it to the attacker. These files are then traded or sold on dark web forums and Telegram channels, where they can be downloaded by anyone looking to take over accounts.
