36,451 Records in a Mixed Webmail Combo List

HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log dataset called "Good Mixed Mails" shared in a Telegram channel on December 13, 2024. Unlike lists focused on a single provider, this one blends accounts from multiple webmail services. It contains 36,451 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL the login was captured from.

Why This Is Dangerous

With 36,451 plaintext credentials in one file, an attacker has a ready-made list large enough to run automated login attempts across many email providers at once, no cracking required. The "mixed" nature of the list means it likely touches several different services, widening the pool of accounts an attacker could try to break into.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses across multiple webmail providers
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Login URLs for each account

Why This Matters

A list of this size is well suited to credential stuffing, where automated tools test each of the 36,451 email and password pairs against other websites in bulk. Anyone who reused their email password on banking, shopping, or social media accounts is at direct risk of those accounts being taken over as a result of this exposure.

How Stealer Logs Work

Info-stealing malware infects a device and copies whatever saved browser logins it finds, regardless of which service they belong to. Distributors then either sort that data by provider or, as with "Good Mixed Mails," leave it blended together and simply label it as verified or "good," meaning the accounts inside have been checked and are believed to still be active.

Check If You Are Affected

With tens of thousands of records in circulation, it is worth checking your own exposure directly. HEROIC's free breach scanner searches more than 400 billion breached records, including large mixed stealer logs like this one, so you can quickly find out if your email address is part of it.
