700 HITS HOTMAILS Stealer Log: 603 Records Exposed on June 1, 2026

HEROIC analysts found a stealer log dataset labeled "700 HITS HOTMAILS" circulating on Telegram, dated June 1, 2026. Despite the "700" in the name, the actual file HEROIC catalogued contains 603 records of stolen login data, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the websites those credentials unlock.

Why the 700 HITS HOTMAILS Leak Is Dangerous

Because these 603 passwords are stored in plaintext and each one is already matched to its exact login URL, there is nothing left for an attacker to figure out. Anyone with this file can plug an email, password, and URL straight into a browser and attempt to log in immediately, with no cracking, no guessing, and no delay.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords, readable with no decryption needed
  • URLs of the login pages tied to each stolen credential

Why This Matters

With 603 working credential pairs in one file, attackers can automate login attempts and take over any account where the password still works. Since email inboxes are often used to reset other accounts, a compromised inbox can quickly become a gateway into banking, shopping, or social media accounts, turning one leaked password into a much larger case of identity theft and financial fraud.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer logs come from infostealer malware, families such as RedLine, Raccoon, or Vidar, that infects a device through a cracked download, malicious ad, or phishing link, then quietly copies whatever is saved in the browser: usernames, passwords, cookies, and autofill data. The malware bundles it all into a "log" and sends it back to whoever controls it, and from there logs like this one circulate freely on Telegram channels, exactly where HEROIC's analysts found it.
