Analysts Found the Trident_Cloud_1 Stealer Log on Telegram

HEROIC analysts discovered a stealer log uploaded to a public Telegram channel on July 11, 2024. The file, tied to United States based accounts and labeled Trident_Cloud_1, contains 11,191 records made up of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs each credential was captured from.

Why This Is Dangerous

The passwords in this log are stored in plaintext, so there is no encryption for an attacker to defeat. Each email address is paired with its real password and the exact web address it opens, meaning anyone who obtains the file can log straight into an account without any extra effort.

What Was Exposed in the Trident_Cloud_1 Log

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs tied to each set of credentials

Why This Matters

Because these plaintext passwords are already matched to the sites they unlock, they are directly usable for credential stuffing, where stolen logins are tested automatically against other popular services. Anyone in this group of 11,191 who reused a password on another account faces a genuine risk of account takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud tracing back to this exposure.

How Stealer Log Breaches Happen

A stealer log is generated by infostealer malware that infects a device through a malicious download, cracked software, or phishing link. Once installed, it reads saved credentials and browsing history directly from the browser, capturing usernames, passwords, and site URLs together. The resulting file is then uploaded to Telegram channels and underground forums, which is exactly where this Trident_Cloud_1 file was found.
