HEROIC analysts found a stealer log tied to anet.ne.jp that a Telegram user uploaded on 10 June 2026. The file contains 3,165 records, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the login pages those credentials belong to.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs are pulled directly from an infected device rather than an old database dump, so the passwords they contain are often the ones victims are still using today. Because they sit in plaintext, an attacker can copy an email, password, and matching URL straight into a browser and log in immediately, with no cracking or guessing required.

What Was Exposed in the anet.ne.jp Stealer Log

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the accounts and login pages accessed

Why This Matters

When a stolen password still works, an attacker can slip into an account without setting off any alarms. If the same password was reused elsewhere, one working credential can unlock email, banking, or shopping accounts too, a tactic known as credential stuffing. That opens the door to account takeover, financial fraud, and identity theft.

How a Stealer Log Like This Gets Created

Stealer logs come from malware that quietly installs itself on a victim's device through a fake download, cracked software, or a malicious attachment. Once running, it pulls saved passwords and autofill data straight from the browser and reports back exactly which sites the victim logged into. That is the same structure found in this anet.ne.jp dataset.
