On August 15, 2025, security analysts found a stealer log file called ArhontCloud uploaded to a Telegram channel. The file contained 31,408 records taken directly from computers infected with credential-stealing malware. Each record includes an email address, a plaintext password, and a URL showing which account or service was compromised. This data was posted publicly, meaning it was instantly available to every criminal in that channel and anyone who shared it further. There is no way to pull it back once it is out there.

Why This Is Dangerous

Plaintext passwords do not need to be cracked or decoded. An attacker downloads this file, loads it into a tool, and within seconds it is testing your email and password on every major website. Banking apps, email providers, streaming services, shopping accounts. If your password is in this file and you use it anywhere else, those accounts are at risk right now. Attackers also use exposed email addresses to send phishing messages so convincing that even careful people get tricked, because the attacker already knows your real login details and can reference them to build trust.

What Was Exposed in the ArhontCloud Leak

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords (no encryption, no hashing)
  • URLs pointing to compromised accounts and services

Why This Matters

Most people reuse passwords. That is exactly what attackers count on. One leaked password from one infected device can open doors across your entire online life. Once an attacker gets into your email account, they can use the password reset function to take over your bank, social media, cloud storage, and anything else linked to that address. The resulting chain of account takeovers can lead to financial fraud, identity theft, and years of headaches trying to reclaim your accounts and repair your credit. The 31,408 records in this dump are not abstractions, they belong to real people whose digital lives are now at risk.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Stealer malware is delivered through fake downloads, cracked software, phishing links, and malicious email attachments. Once it runs on a device it quietly scans the browser for saved passwords, captures login details as they are typed, and collects session cookies. Everything gets packaged into a log file and sent to a server or Telegram channel the attacker controls. The attacker then sorts through the data, uses the most valueable credentials themselves, and often shares or sells the raw logs with other criminals, which is how this ArhontCloud dump ended up on a public Telegram channel.
