One Upload, 7,462 Accounts: BabaCloudLogs Leaked Plaintext Passwords.
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file tied to the BabaCloudLogs series that was uploaded to a Telegram channel on August 10, 2025. The file contains 7,462 records harvested from infected devices, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts and cloud services those credentials unlock.
Why This Is Dangerous
Because the passwords in this file are stored in plaintext, there is no encryption standing between an attacker and a working login. Each password is paired with the exact URL and API host it belongs to, meaning an attacker can move straight from opening the file to logging into an account or cloud service. There is no cracking or guessing required, just a direct handoff of working credentials.
What Was Exposed in This BabaCloudLogs File
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the associated accounts and services
Why This Matters
With 7,462 plaintext password and email pairs now circulating, anyone who reused one of these passwords elsewhere is exposed to credential stuffing attacks across other accounts. Attackers commonly test leaked logins against banking, email, and shopping sites, and a single reused password can be enough to trigger account takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud.
How Stealer Logs Like This One Are Made
Stealer logs come from malware that infects a device and quietly harvests whatever credentials it can find: saved browser passwords, autofill data, and the web addresses and API endpoints tied to each login. The malware sends everything it collects back to whoever is running it, and the resulting file is then packaged and shared through Telegram channels, exactly where HEROIC analysts found this file on August 10, 2025.
