Your Passwords May Be Exposed. BabaCloudLogs Leaked 8,037 Records.
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file named BabaCloudLogs that was uploaded to a Telegram channel on August 13, 2025. The file contains 8,037 records harvested from infected devices, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts and cloud services those credentials unlock.
Why This Is Dangerous
The passwords in this log are stored in plaintext, meaning there is no encryption or hashing standing between an attacker and a working login. Paired with the exact URL each password belongs to, the file effectively hands over ready-to-use access to 8,037 accounts. Because the leak also includes API host information, some of these credentials may unlock cloud infrastructure and backend systems rather than just individual user accounts, widening the potential damage well beyond a single login.
What Was Exposed in the BabaCloudLogs File
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the associated accounts and services
Why This Matters
With 8,037 plaintext password and email pairs circulating, anyone who reused a password from an affected account elsewhere becomes a target for credential stuffing across other sites. Attackers routinely test leaked logins against banking, email, and shopping accounts, hoping people reused the same password. That single point of overlap is often all it takes to trigger account takeover, identity theft, or direct financial fraud.
How Stealer Logs Like BabaCloudLogs Are Made
Stealer logs come from malware that infects a device and quietly collects whatever credentials it can find: saved browser passwords, autofill data, and the web addresses tied to each login, including cloud service endpoints. Once the malware sends this data back to whoever controls it, the resulting file is often packaged and distributed through Telegram channels, exactly where HEROIC analysts found the BabaCloudLogs file on August 13, 2025.
