HEROIC analysts discovered a stealer log file on November 7th, 2025, after picking up unusual activity from a Telegram channel that had not previously been tracked. The dump, labeled BabaCloudLogs 300 Cloud Logs, contained 9,933 records pulled directly from compromised endpoints. The data included email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs tied to cloud services and API access points. The volume is relatively small, but the type of data exposed means the risk per record is high.

Why This Is Dangerous

When a stealer log lands on Telegram, it does not stay private for long. Anyone in that channel can download it within minuets and begin testing those credentials against other websites and services. Because the passwords in this dump are stored in plain text, there is no cracking required. An attacker can take an email and password pair and try it on banking apps, email accounts, or corporate VPNs immediately. Cloud endpoint credentials are especially valuable because they often unlock access to company systems, not just personal accounts.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (cloud service endpoints and API hosts)

Why This Matters

Stealer logs feed directly into credential stuffing attacks, where automated bots test stolen username and password combinations across hundreds of sites at once. If you reuse passwords across accounts, one compromised endpoint can unravel everything else. This also opens the door to account takeover, identity theft, and in corporate settings, unauthorized access to internal tools and customer data. The cloud-focused nature of this dump makes it particulerly useful to attackers targeting business infrastructure.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

A stealer log breach starts with malware on a device. Someone clicks a bad link, downloads a fake software update, or opens a phishing attachment, and an information-stealing program quietly installs itself. This malware scans the device for saved passwords, browser cookies, email credentials, and app logins, then bundles everything into a log file and sends it to the attacker. That data is then sold or shared openly on platforms like Telegram. The victim usually has no idea anything happened until accounts start getting locked or unauthorised charges show up.
