In July 2025, a Telegram user distributed the baset_cloud 659count stealer log archive, exposing 28,671 records harvested from infected devices. Security analysts who examined the dump found plaintext passwords, email addresses, and URL endpoint data that infostealer malware had silently collected from victims' machines. The 659count designation indicates this is one organized batch within a larger credential harvesting operation, suggesting an active and systematic campaign distributing stolen data through Telegram channels throughout 2025.

Why This Is Dangerous

Every record in the baset_cloud archive is a ready-to-use login credential. With plaintext passwords and matching email adresses in hand, attackers do not need to crack anything -- they simply attempt to log in. The included URL data sharpens their targeting, directing attacks at the exact banking portals, cloud platforms, and corporate systems where the credentials were originaly stolen. Because this stealer log dates to mid-2025, a large share of these passwords are likely still active and exploitable right now.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (endpoint and API host data)

Why This Matters

Stealer log exposure leads directly to credential stuffing, account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud. Automated attack tools can process thousands of email-password pairs per minute against popular platforms. Victims who reuse passwords across multiple accounts face compounding risk: one exposed credential can unlock email, banking, social media, and workplace systems at the same time. The recency of this breach increases the probability that attackers are already testing these credentials against live accounts.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Infostealer malware is built to silently harvest credentials from compromised machines without triggering antivirus alerts. It spreads primarily through phishing campaigns, cracked software packages, and malicious browser extensions. Once installed, it extracts saved passwords, browser session cookies, and form autofill data. The collected records are structured into log archives organized by date, batch count, or infection identifier, then sold or freely distributed through Telegram channels and underground forums. The baset_cloud 659count archive represents one such discrete harvested batch packaged for rapid distribution among threat actors.
