Your Credentials May Already Be Gone. On December 6, 2024, a threat actor known as Satanic completed a five-part credential dump campaign on BreachForums with the release of Satanic Cloud 5M ULP Part 5 -- the final installment in a series that spanned roughly 25 million raw lines across a single day. Part 5 exposed 1,729,926 unique email addresses, each paired with a plaintext password and the homepage URL where the credential was originally captured. Together, the five parts of the Satanic Cloud series account for nearly 9.5 million distinct compromised accounts released in a coordinated, high-volume single-day campaign.

Why This Final Release Is Dangerous

As the concluding part of a five-part series, Part 5 carries additional risk beyond its own 1.73 million records: any defender who deprioritized earlier parts based on volume now faces a combined dataset that dwarfs what any single release suggested. Attackers who collected all five parts hold a deduplicated corpus potentially exceeding 9 million unique accounts. The sequential release strategy also keeps a breach fresh in forum discussions for hours, maximizing downloads across multiple time zones before monitoring tools flag the activity.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses -- 1,729,926 unique accounts targeted for login attempts, phishing, and social engineering
  • Plaintext Passwords -- no hashing, no cracking needed; credentials are immediately operational
  • Homepage URLs -- pinpoint the exact service where each credential was stolen, enabling direct account compromise

Why This Matters

Credential theft at this scale has cascading consequences that extend well beyond the initial breach site:

  • Account takeover -- attackers test the captured email-password pair directly against the URL in the log, then branch out to other services
  • Credential stuffing -- automated bots cycle every pair from all five parts through major platforms: banking, email, e-commerce, and SaaS tools
  • Identity theft -- email account control hands attackers the master key to every linked service, from financial accounts to healthcare portals
  • Fraud -- access to accounts enables unauthorized purchases, fraudulent wire transfers, and benefits theft

How Stealer Log Series Campaigns Work

Multi-part stealer log releases are a deliberate amplification strategy. Instead of posting one massive file that triggers immediate takedown or skepticism, actors like Satanic break the dataset into five smaller releases. Each part is small enough to download quickly, large enough to demonstrate legitimacy, and timed to keep forum threads active throughout the day. Victims' data is initially harvested through infostealer malware running on compromised endpoints -- grabbing saved browser passwords, autocomplete data, and session tokens. The aggregated output is then packaged, split, and staged for sequential release to maximize forum engagement and perceived value.
