In May 2023, a file called Bugatti_Cloud Bugatti_Man 17.05.part044 appeared on Telegram containing 18,256 stolen records. It did not arrive there by accident. Each entry was harvested by infostealer malware running silently on a real person's device, capturing their email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of every site they visited. The malware did its work, the log was assembled, and a Telegram user uploaded it to channels full of cybercriminals waiting to put it to use. This is how credential theft works in practise, one infected device at a time multiplied across thousands of victims.

Why This Is Dangerous

Unlike breaches where a company's database is stolen and passwords are at least hashed, stealer logs contain plaintext passwords taken directly from the victim's device at the moment they were used. There is no cracking required. The email and password combination is ready to test against banking apps, corporate logins, and email providers the instant an attacker downloads the file. With 18,256 pairs in this single log, the potential damage is enormous.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (endpoint and API host addresses from infected devices)

Why This Matters

The Bugatti_Cloud Bugatti_Man series is not a one-off event. It represents a coordinated distribution of infostealer output, split across numerus part files and shared across private Telegram channels. This means the credentials it contains have been in criminal hands since mid-2023, giving threat actors years to attempt account takeovers, sell the data downstream, or bundle it into larger breach compilations. The longer credentials remain unaddressed, the more damage accumulates.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Infostealer malware typically enters a device through a phishing email, a cracked software download, or a malicious browser extension. Once installed, it runs without any visible signs, logging every credential the victim types or that their browser fills in automaticly. It captures session cookies that can bypass two-factor authentication, records the URLs of every site visited, and packages everything into a structured log file. That file is then uploaded to the attacker's server, bundled with thousands of others from similarly infected machines, and distributed. The victim has no idea any of this happened until accounts start showing unauthorized actvity.
