In April 2023, HEROIC's DarkHive threat intelligence platform discovered part009 of the Bugatti_Man stealer log series, uploaded by the Bugatti_Cloud group on Telegram. This segment contains 5,750 records of stolen credentials, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the associated URLs where those credentials were captured from infected devices. As one part of a larger multi-volume distribution, this archive represents an ongoing and organized credential theft operation.

Why This Stealer Log Is Dangerous

Imagine waking up to find that someone has logged into your email, reset your banking password, and locked you out of your own accounts. That is exactly the kind of scenario this stealer log enables. Each of the 5,750 records includes a working email and password pair alongside the specific URL it was stolen from. Attackers do not need to guess or brute-force anything. They simply copy and paste your credentials and walk right in. With plaintext passwords and matching URLs readily availble, compromising accounts takes seconds, not hours.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (login pages and web services accessed)

Why This Matters

Stealer logs are the primary fuel for credential stuffing attacks, where automated tools test stolen email and password combinations across thousands of websites simultaneously. If any of the 5,750 victims in this dataset reused their passwords, attackers could access not just the originally compromised service but also their email, bank accounts, shopping profiles, and cloud storage. The downstream consequences include account takeover, identity theft, unauthorized financial transactions, and long-term fraud. Because this data has been circulating since April 2023, the window for exploitation has been open for years.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer logs originate from information-stealing malware that infects a victim's computer or mobile device. This malware is commonly spread through phishing emails, fake software installers, and compromised websites. Once active, it silently harvests saved passwords from browsers, captures autofill data, extracts cookies and session tokens, and records the URLs associated with each credential. The collected data is then organized into a log file and transmitted to the attacker. These logs are packaged and distributed in batches through Telegram channels and underground forums. The Bugatti_Cloud series, with its numbered parts, is a textbook example of how threat actors systematicaly share massive volumes of stolen credentials.
