HEROIC Analysts Found Bugatti_Cloud Part009 Circulating on Telegram
In May 2023, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file posted on Telegram under the name Bugatti_Cloud Bugatti_Man 17.05.part009, exposing 13,528 records. Our analysts found this file actively circulating on Telegram channels where threat actors distribute stolen credentials. The file contained email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs pulled directly from compromised endpoints. This is the ninth part in a multi-file Bugatti_Cloud series, reflecting a sustained and large-scale infostealer campaign distributing stolen credentials in segmented batches that analysts beleive originated from a single coordinated operation.
Why This Is Dangerous
When attackers get access to plaintext passwords alongside email addresses, they do not need to crack or guess anything. The credentials are ready to use immediately. Email accounts are the master key to a victim's digital life. Control someone's email and you can reset passwords to banks, investment accounts, cloud storage, and every subscription service they use. Attackers who recieve files like this one prioritize email providers first, then move down the list of high-value targets methodically. The window between file distribution and first account access is often measured in minutes, not days.
What Was Exposed
- Email Addresses
- Plaintext Passwords
- URLs (endpoint and API host addresses)
Why This Matters
The Bugatti_Cloud series spans at least nine known parts, meaning the aggregate number of stolen records across the full campaign is significantly larger than any single file suggests. Data from stealer log dumps is routinely aggregated and sold as combined datasets. That means credentials could appear in both this file and others, multiplying the exposure. Automated attacks test stolen logins across streaming services, e-commerce, and financial platforms. Attackers access and lock victims out of their own accounts within hours. Combined breach data builds profiles detailed enough for loan fraud and identity impersonation. Plaintext credentials give direct access to payment platforms and banking portals.
How Stealer Logs Work
Infostealer malware is silently installed on victim devices through phishing emails, pirated software, and malicious browser plugins. The malware harvests saved passwords, session cookies, and API tokens from browsers and applications. It then transmits this data to a central collection point. Operators of these campaigns sort, compress, and distribute the data in seperate archive files to avoid detection and make distribution easier. The Bugatti_Cloud series follows this exact pattern, with each numbered part representing a distinct batch of harvested credentials from the same underlying campaign. The use of Telegram as a distribution channel is common because it allows file sharing at scale with minimal oversight.
