On June 10, 2026, a stealer log file containing chello.hu account details was uploaded to Telegram, exposing 2,370 records made up of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and account URLs. Chello.hu is not the source of this leak. The credentials were pulled from devices already infected with information-stealing malware, then packaged into a log file and shared on Telegram, where these files regularly change hands among criminals.

Why This Is Dangerous

Because the passwords in this log were stored in plaintext, there is no encryption standing between the attacker and the account. Anyone who obtains the file can try the email and password combination directly, no cracking required. That makes this kind of leak faster and easier for criminals to act on than a typical hashed-password breach.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Account URLs (the login pages saved alongside each credential)

Why This Matters

A leak of 2,370 records might sound small, but each one represents a real account and, often, a reused password. Attackers run exposed email and password pairs through automated credential stuffing tools against email providers, banks, and shopping sites. If you reused your chello.hu password anywhere else, that single leaked pair can open the door to account takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud.

How Stealer Log Leaks Happen

Stealer malware typically arrives through pirated software, fake downloads, or malicious attachments. Once it runs, it quietly copies saved passwords, autofill entries, and session data straight out of the victim's browser and sends it back to the attacker. The stolen data is then compiled into a log file like this one and traded or dumped on Telegram channels, which is how the chello.hu records ended up exposed.
