On January 26, 2026, a Telegram user uploaded the Cloud_Rolex_2 stealer log to an underground channel, releasing 41,159 stolen credential records. The file contained plaintext passwords, email adresses, and the URLs of every service the victims had been accessing when their devices were compromised. That was five months ago. The data did not disappear. It has been downloaded, copied, shared across forums, and traded in private channels. If your credentials are in this log, they are still being tested against your accounts right now.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs with plaintext passwords have an unusually long shelf life as attack tools. Unlike breaches where passwords are hashed and require cracking time, this log was usable the moment it was posted. Attackers have had five months to run credential stuffing campaigns, sell subsets of the data to other criminals, and layer it with information from other breaches to build richer profiles of victims. At 41,159 records, this is a substantial dump. The older it gets, the more it has spread. The risk does not diminish over time. It compunds as the data reaches more actors.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (specific endpoints and API hosts accessed by compromised accounts)

Why This Matters

Most victims of stealer log breaches never receive a notification because there is no single company responsible for sending one. Unlike a corporate database breach where an organization is obligated to notify affected users, stealer logs are assembled from dozens or hundreds of different compromised devices with no single responsible party. This means the 41,159 people in the Cloud_Rolex_2 file were largely on their own from the moment it was posted. Months of undetected credential exposure creates compounding risk: changed passwords at some services but not others, reused passwords being tested against new platforms, and attackers combining the data with newer leaks.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

The Cloud_Rolex_2 log was built by information-stealing malware that had been quietly installed on victims' devices. The malware monitors browser sessions and application logins, recording credentials as users enter them. Every time a victim logs into a website, the stealer captures the email or username, the password, and the URL. These records are bundled into a log file and sent to the attacker at regular intervals. The attacker then packages the logs under a label like Cloud_Rolex_2 and distributes them through Telegram channels and dark web markets. The entire process from infection to public distribution can take as little as 48 hours.
