Cloud Users Targeted in the BabaCloudLogs Leak of 25,339 Records
BabaCloudLogs Stealer Log Targets Cloud Users, Exposes 25,339 Records
HEROIC analysts found a stealer log file labeled "BabaCloudLogs 444 Cloud Logs" that a Telegram user uploaded on September 26, 2025. The file contained 25,339 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the login page it belongs to. The naming and structure of the file point to a focus on cloud service logins, making this a particular concern for anyone who accesses cloud platforms with a password they have used before.
Why This Is Dangerous
Because these passwords were exposed in plaintext, there is no encryption for an attacker to break. Anyone who obtains this file can pair each email, password, and URL and log in directly, with no cracking or guesswork required, including into cloud accounts that may hold sensitive files or business data.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the associated login pages
Why This Matters
A dataset of 25,339 records is large enough to fuel widespread credential stuffing attacks, where automated tools test each stolen email and password pair against other popular sites and cloud services. Anyone who reused a password on a cloud account faces the risk of account takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud.
How Stealer Logs Work
A stealer log comes from infostealer malware that infects a device through a malicious download, cracked software, or a phishing link. Once installed, it quietly harvests saved browser passwords, autofill data, and session details, then bundles everything into a log file. These files are commonly shared or sold on Telegram channels shortly after collection, which is exactly how BabaCloudLogs became public.
