On 03 July 2025, a Telegram user distributed the Cloudy Logs Team (CloudyTeamLogs) stealer log bundle -- a 306-file package -- through a dark web channel. The release exposed 14,568 records containing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs harvested from infected devices worldwide. Every record recieved by threat actors came fully formed: email, password, and the exact URL it unlocks -- no cracking, no guesswork required.

Why This Is Dangerous

The 14,568 records in the CloudyTeamLogs dump are not mere data points -- each one represents a real person's login being handed to criminals in fully usable form. Because the passwords are in plaintext, there is zero barrier between the attacker and the victim's account. The accompanying URLs make it trivial to identify which services to target first. Even a fraction of these credentials, if reused across other platforms, can enable a cascading series of account compromises that extends well beyond the original breach.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses -- login identifiers and the primary vector for account recovery abuse
  • Plaintext Passwords -- credentials captured in cleartext, requiring no decryption to exploit
  • URLs -- the specific platforms and portals where each credential was captured

Why This Matters

Your accounts are only as secure as the device they were accessed from. If an infostealer ran on your machine at any point, your credentials may already be circulating in collections like CloudyTeamLogs. Automated bots test your email and password against banking, shopping, and social media sites in bulk. Attackers change your passwords and lock you out of your own accounts. Personal and financial information accessed through compremised accounts is used to impersonate you for loans, benefits, and more. Hijacked accounts are used to make purchases, request transfers, or target your contacts with scams -- all before you receive any notification that something is wrong.

How Stealer Log Attacks Work

Stealer log channels like CloudyTeamLogs are the distribution end of a larger criminal supply chain. At the source, infostealer malware silently infects victim machines -- often through phishing emails, fake software installers, or malicious ad redirects. Once active, the malware sweeps the device for saved passwords, session cookies, browsing history with autofill data, and crypto wallet files. This package is uploaded to the attacker's server automaticaly. Groups like Cloudy Logs Team act as aggregators and distributors: they compile hundreds of individual logs into numbered bundle releases and push them through Telegram channels, sometimes for profit and sometimes to build notoriety in cybercriminal circles. The 306-count designation indicates this was one such numbered release.
