HEROIC Analysts Identify CRONCLOUDVIP846 Stealer Log: 1,540 Accounts Confirmed Exposed

In December 2025, a Telegram user shared a stealer log package labeled CRONCLOUDVIP846, containing 1,540 records pulled from compromised devices. HEROIC's threat intelligence team has verified this dataset and confirmed the exposed information includes email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs representing the services each victim was actively using at the time of infection. While 1,540 records is a smaller package by stealer log standards, every entry represents a real person's live credentials captured directly off an infected device.

Why This Is Dangerous for Cloud and Automation Service Users

The CRON prefix in the package name is associated with scheduled task and cloud automation environments. This suggests the victims in this dataset were users of cloud scheduling tools, API management platforms, or automated workflow services at the time of infection. Credentials tied to automation platforms are especially dangerous in the wrong hands because they often carry elevated permissions and may control processes that run continuously without human supervision. An attacker with access to a compromised automation account can alter scheduled jobs, exfiltrate data over time, or inject malicious behaviour into existing workflows without the account owner noticing.

What Was Exposed in the CRONCLOUDVIP846 Stealer Log

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords (no cracking required, captured in real time)
  • URLs (active cloud and automation services at time of device compromise)

Why This Matters: Automation Credentials Are High-Value Targets

Stealer log data that includes automation and cloud platform URLs is among the most actionable material available to cybercriminals. Unlike generic credential dumps, these logs tell attackers exactly which services to target and come with matching plaintext passwords that work immediately. Account takeover of cloud automation systems can lead to data exfiltration, identity theft, financial fraud through connected billing accounts, and the hijacking of processes that run criticial business functions. Even a single compromised automation account can cascade into a broader infrastructure breach if that account has permissions to access connected services.

How the CRONCLOUDVIP846 Stealer Log Was Created

Information-stealing malware targeting cloud and automation platform users is typicaly distributed through fake software downloads, trojanized browser extensions, and phishing pages designed to mimic the login interfaces of popular cloud services. Once the malware executes on a victim's device, it silently harvests browser-saved credentials, active session cookies, and the URLs of every service the user has authenticated to. This data is bundled into a structured log file and transmitted to the operator or shared directly on Telegram channels. The VIP designation in the CRONCLOUDVIP846 name is often used by Telegram stealer groups to indicate a curated or higher-quality collection within their distribution network.

How Stealer Malware Captures Credentials

The infection-to-exfiltration cycle for modern information stealers is remarkably fast. Within seconds of execution, the malware accesses local browser storage to extract saved passwords, reads authentication tokens stored in memory, and logs every URL the browser has saved credentials for. This data is definitly in plaintext at the point of capture because it is pulled before browser encryption layers are applied. The resulting log file is then automatically transmitted to a remote server or Telegram bot. Most victims are completely unaware their credentials have been stolen until they recieve a notification that their account has been accessed from an unfamiliar location.
