The CryptogoL12.26 Stealer Log Means Someone Could Be Logging Into Your Accounts
HEROIC analysts uncovered a stealer log dataset named “CryptogoL12.26” uploaded to a Telegram channel on 19 August 2026. Unlike a typical hacked database, this file was harvested directly from infected devices: it contains 12,998 records of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the exact login pages where each credential was captured.
Why This Is Dangerous
Stealer logs are especially dangerous because the credentials inside them are current. Info-stealing malware pulls saved logins straight out of a victim's browser at the moment of infection, so unlike an old database dump, the passwords in CryptogoL12.26 were working, active credentials as recently as when the malware ran. An attacker with this file does not need to guess whether a password still works, they can try it immediately.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the exact sites and services each credential unlocks
Why This Matters
With nearly 13,000 records, CryptogoL12.26 gives attackers a large batch of ready-to-use logins for credential stuffing attacks across email, banking, and social media platforms. Because stealer logs capture real, recently active passwords rather than old leaked ones, the risk of account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud is higher than with an outdated combolist.
How Stealer Logs Like CryptogoL12.26 Are Made
Info-stealer malware infects a device, often through a fake download, cracked software, or phishing link, then quietly scans the browser for saved usernames, passwords, and autofill data before sending everything back to the attacker. The stolen data is packaged into a log file, like CryptogoL12.26, and sold or shared on Telegram channels dedicated to trading exactly this kind of stolen information.
Check If You Are Affected
Because stealer log credentials tend to be current, checking now matters. HEROIC's free breach scanner searches your email against more than 400 billion breached records, including this stealer log, so you can find out fast whether your credentials were harvested and update your passwords before they are used against you.
