HEROIC discovered 1,990 records exposed in the CRYPTON_LOGS 1 stealer log breach on February 14, 2023. The archive was released through a Telegram channel as the first public drop in the CRYPTON_LOGS series, establishing a feed that would supply credential stuffers and account traders for months to come.

Why This Stealer Log Is Dangerous

Because every password in the dump is already plaintext, attackers do not need to crack hashes or run rainbow tables. They can spray the credentials against banks, email providers, and workplaces in minutes, driving account takeover, identity theft, and direct financial fraud for any victim who reused a password.

What Was Exposed in CRYPTON_LOGS 1

  • Login credentials (usernames and plaintext passwords)
  • Browser cookies and stored session tokens
  • Autofill form data including saved contact details
  • Crypto wallet data where desktop wallets were installed
  • System fingerprints and the browsing URL history used to match credentials to sites

Even at 1,990 records, the combination of password and URL makes the entire set useful out of the box.

Why This Matters

Years after the original drop, CRYPTON_LOGS 1 continues to appear in combolists and credential-stuffing tools. Anyone who has not rotated passwords used before February 2023 is still at elevated risk of account takeover and long-tail identity fraud built on this data.

How a Stealer Log Like CRYPTON_LOGS 1 Works

Infostealer malware, typically RedLine or Raccoon in the 2023 era, infects machines via cracked software, malicious ad redirects, and phishing attachments. It harvests browser vaults, cookies, and wallet files, uploading them to a Telegram bot controlled by the operator. Batches are then dropped publicly, seeding the ecosystem that fuels resale on dark forums for years afterward.
