328 Files. 7,183 Records. Inside the Crypton_Logs 2.0 Stealer Dump
In May 2024, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log package named CRYPTON_LOGS 2.0, uploaded to Telegram in 328 separate files and containing 7,183 records of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs each login was captured from. Unlike a combolist compiled from old breaches, stealer logs like this one come directly from malware running on infected devices. Why is this dangerous? Stealer logs are considered more dangerous than typical combolists because the credentials are often current and pulled straight from a victim's browser at the moment of infection. That means the email, password, and URL in this file may still be active and in use today, giving an attacker a live path into someone's accounts rather than a stale one. What was exposed: email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs where each login was captured. Why this matters: because stealer log data tends to be fresh, it is especially valuable for credential stuffing, account takeover, and identity theft. An attacker working from a log like this does not need to guess which passwords are still valid, the malware captured them at the point of use. How stealer logs work: stealer malware infects a device and quietly harvests saved browser passwords, autofill data, and session details, then sends everything back to the attacker in a packaged log. Criminals split large collections like CRYPTON_LOGS 2.0 into hundreds of smaller files, in this case 328, and distribute them through Telegram channels for other criminals to buy or download. Check if you are affected: because stealer log data tends to reflect current passwords, checking your exposure now matters more than usual. HEROIC's free breach scanner searches your email address against more than 400 billion leaked records, including stealer logs like CRYPTON_LOGS 2.0, so you can act before an attacker does.
