One Telegram Upload. 299 Files. 10,505 CRYPTON_LOGS Credentials.
One Telegram Channel. 299 Files. 10,505 Exposed Credentials.
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log dataset labeled "CRYPTON_LOGS 299PCS" uploaded to a public Telegram channel, tied to a leak date of December 24, 2024. The name refers to the 299 individual log files bundled inside, which together contain 10,505 records pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the account it was captured from. Every one of those 299 files represents a separate infected computer, each one quietly handing over its saved logins.
Why This Is Dangerous
Because the credentials in this leak were harvested directly from infected devices rather than stolen from a company database, they come with no encryption or hashing to slow an attacker down. Each email, password, and URL combination is ready to use immediately, which means anyone who gets hold of this file can start testing logins the moment they open it.
What Was Exposed in the CRYPTON_LOGS Leak
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the accounts and services accessed
Why This Matters
10,505 working login combinations is more than enough to power a credential stuffing campaign, where attackers automatically test each email and password pair against banking sites, email providers, and online retailers. Anyone who reused a password that appears in this file risks having that account taken over, and once an attacker controls an email inbox, they can reset passwords on nearly every other account tied to it, opening the door to identity theft and financial fraud.
How Stealer Logs Work
A stealer log is what remains after information-stealing malware finishes its job on an infected computer. The malware typically arrives through a cracked software download, a fake installer, or a phishing email, and once running, it copies every password saved in the victim's browser along with the site each one belongs to. The person or group operating the malware then bundles the results, sometimes hundreds of individual logs at once as seen here, into a single file and shares it on platforms like Telegram.
