HEROIC discovered 7,979 records exposed in the CRYPTON_LOGS stealer log breach on February 10, 2023. This base Crypton series drop (no suffix or version tag) landed on a public Telegram channel, exposing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs where those credentials were captured.

Why This Stealer Log Is Dangerous

CRYPTON_LOGS is the foundational release in the Crypton series, and its 7,979 records are the template for the larger paid drops that follow. Every credential is plaintext, pulled from an infected endpoint, and paired with the exact URL it was harvested on. Attackers can plug the file straight into credential-stuffing tools with zero preprocessing.

What Was Exposed in CRYPTON_LOGS

  • Login credentials (usernames, passwords)
  • Browser cookies and session tokens
  • Autofill form data
  • Crypto wallet data (where present)
  • System fingerprints

The 7,979 records join real email addresses with plaintext passwords and target URLs, making the dump a turnkey account takeover toolkit.

Why This Matters

Published plaintext credentials hit the wider criminal ecosystem within hours. Anyone in CRYPTON_LOGS faces immediate risk of email, banking, and SaaS account takeover, and that risk extends to any service where the password has been reused. Corporate SSO reuse can cascade the compromise into employer systems.

How a Stealer Log Like CRYPTON_LOGS Works

Infostealer malware such as RedLine, Vidar, and Lumma reaches victims through cracked software, malicious Google Ads, and phishing emails. Once running, it harvests browser-stored passwords, cookies, autofill entries, and crypto wallet files, then emits a timestamped log. Operators rebrand these logs under series names like CRYPTON_LOGS and push them to Telegram for reputation or subscription tiers.
