Inside the CRYPTON TXT Stealer Log: 1,752,990 Passwords Harvested

On December 3, 2025, HEROIC threat analysts examined a new stealer log labeled CRYPTON_TXT 03.12, uploaded by a Telegram user for wide distribution. This version of the CRYPTON TXT log contained 1,752,990 exposed records, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs each set of credentials belongs to. It is the second CRYPTON TXT release HEROIC has tracked, showing this operation is still active and still harvesting fresh data.

Why This Is Dangerous

Because the passwords sit in plaintext, there is no code to crack and no delay before an attacker can start using them. Every email, password, and URL is already matched up, so testing the credentials against real accounts takes seconds, not hours. Anyone who reused one of these passwords on another account has effectivly handed an attacker a second way in, even if they never touched whatever service CRYPTON TXT originally targeted.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses tied to compromised accounts
  • Plaintext passwords for each account
  • URLs identifying the exact site each login belongs to

Why This Matters

Stealer log data like this feeds directly into credential stuffing, where bots quietly test stolen logins across hundreds of sites until one succeeds. From there, account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud tend to follow quickly, especially since the CRYPTON TXT operation appears to release fresh batches on a regular schedule, meaning more victims are likely already exposed in future dumps.

How the CRYPTON TXT Stealer Log Harvests Passwords

CRYPTON TXT and logs like it come from malware planted on a victim's device, usually through cracked software, pirated games, or malicious downloads disguised as something else. Once installed, the malware quietly copies saved browser passwords, autofill data, and session URLs, then sends everything back to the operator. The stolen data gets sorted into a dated release, like this 03.12 version, and distributed through Telegram channels and dark web forums where other criminals buy or trade it to fuel their own attacks.

Check If You Are Affected

Since CRYPTON TXT has already released multiple batches, it is worth checking your exposure across all of them, not just this one. HEROIC's free breach scanner searches a database of more than 400 billion leaked records, so you can find out fast wether your email or passwords have shown up and take action before an attacker does.
