HEROIC analysts traced a combolist called CYPHER PRIVATE back to October 2025, when a Telegram user first uploaded it. The file contains 574 records pairing email addresses with plaintext passwords, along with associated URLs. Months later, the data is still circulating, which means anyone whose information ended up in this file has had that exposure sitting quietly on Telegram this entire time, unnoticed and unresolved.

Why Old, Unnoticed Leaks Are Still Dangerous

A leak does not lose its power just because time has passed. If the passwords in the CYPHER PRIVATE file have not been changed since October 2025, they are just as usable today as they were the day the file was uploaded. Attackers regularly revisit older combolists like this one because people are slow to update reused passwords, and a credential that worked months ago often still works now.

What Was Exposed in the CYPHER PRIVATE File

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Associated URLs linking each credential to a login page

Why This Matters Months After the Fact

Credential stuffing attacks do not have an expiration date. Automated tools can pull the 574 records in CYPHER PRIVATE and test them against major websites at any point, whether that is the day the file appeared or a year later. If your email and password are in this file and you have not changed that password since October 2025, you remain at risk of account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud right now.

How a Combolist Like CYPHER PRIVATE Circulates Over Time

A combolist is a compiled file of email and password pairs gathered from phishing pages, malware, or older breaches and merged into one document. Once uploaded to Telegram, files like CYPHER PRIVATE do not simply disappear. They get copied, reshared, and redistributed across channels and buyers for months or years, which is why a leak from October 2025 can still be actively used against people today.
