HEROIC's DarkHive intelligence system discovered the DAISY CLOUD stealer log breach, exposing 10,322 records on January 23, 2024. The dataset contained email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs harvested from compromised United States devices through infostealer malware distributed via Telegram.

Why This Is Dangerous

With over 10,000 plaintext credentials now in the hands of criminals, attackers can immediately begin automated credential stuffing attacks against banking portals, email accounts, corporate systems, and cloud platforms. The URLs included in this log give attackers specific targets, allowing them to attempt logins at the exact web applications where victims hold accounts. Successful account takeover can lead to financial theft, sensitive data exposure, and unauthorized access to workplace systems within hours of the log being distributed.

Why This Matters

Stealer log breaches like this one circulate through criminal networks long after the initial distribution, meaning victims face ongoing risk from multiple attacker groups. Credential stuffing tools allow criminals to test thousands of login pairs per minute, making it likely that victims who reuse thier passwords across multiple services will experience account takeover on banking, email, and workplace platforms. The combination of email addresses and plaintext passwords also supports identity theft and social engineering attacks, since attackers can use a victim's email account to impersonate them and request password resets on other services.

How Stealer Log Works

Infostealer malware spreads through phishing emails, malicious software downloads, and compromised websites. After infecting a computer, it silently collects all saved browser passwords, session cookies, and website URLs without the user's knowledge. The harvested data gets packaged into a structured log file and transmitted to attacker-controlled servers. The DAISY CLOUD operator then distributed these logs on Telegram as part of a sustained campaign running throughout early January 2024, releasing new batches of stolen credentials on a near-daily basis to attract subscribers and buyers within criminal communities.
