In May 2023, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file uploaded to Telegram by a user promoting a private channel called Daisy Cloud. The file, distributed under the label DAISY_CLOUD_23_MAY_0439_PCS, contained 4,917 records harvested from infected devices in the United States. Each record included an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL identifying which website the credentials were stolen from. The distribution format itself, embedding a Telegram channel invite in the file's name, reveals the commercial intent behind this operation: the attacker was using the data as bait to grow a paid credential-sharing community targeting American users.


Why This Is Dangerous

Most stealer log files are distributed through anonymous channels or sold privately. The DAISY_CLOUD naming convention tells a different story. The file name includes a direct call to join a private Telegram channel, suggesting this data was released as a sample to attract subscribers to a recurring credential feed. This is a commercialized operation, not a one-time opportunistic leak.

That context matters because it implies ongoing activity. If 4,917 records were released as a free sample, a larger paid operation almost certainly occured behind it. It then packages that data into a structured log file and sends it to the attacker.

The "0439_PCS" notation in this file's name likely refers to 439 separate infected machines that contributed records to this single bundle. Each infected device can contribute credentials from dozens of different websites, which is why even a mid-size stealer log like this one can cause widespread account takeover incidents across completely unrelated platforms. The fact that this data was publically shared as a Telegram promotional sample means it was likely seen by thousands of bad actors.
