HEROIC's DarkHive intelligence system flagged the DAISY CLOUD stealer log breach on December 10, 2023, when a Telegram user uploaded a file containing 1,231 stolen records. Despite the smaller record count, this log is part of the ongoing DAISY CLOUD credential harvesting operation and contains high-quality data including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs associated with cloud infrastructure access points and API management endpoints.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs targeting cloud infrastructure credentials are among the most dangerous types of breaches because the associated accounts often control virtual machines, storage systems, databases, and networking resources rather than a single user account. A single compromised cloud management credential can give attackers control over an entire cloud environment with the ability to create new backdoor accounts, exfiltrate stored data, or deploy ransomware across cloud-hosted systems. The plaintext nature of the stolen passwords means these attacks can begin within minutes of the log appearing on Telegram.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs

Why This Matters

Even a small stealer log with 1,231 records can cause disproportionate damage if the exposed credentials belong to system administrators or cloud platform managers. Attackers specifically sort stealer logs to identify accounts with administrative-sounding email addresses or URLs pointing to admin panels and management consoles. Any user whose credentials were captured in this log faces immediate account compromise on all platforms where they reused thier password. Enterprises using cloud platforms should audit access logs for any of thier registered domain email addresses appearing in this breach and rotate all potentially affected credentials immediately.

How Stealer Log Works

Stealer log infections occur when victims run malicious software disguised as legitimate applications or click links in phishing emails that install credential-harvesting malware. The malware runs silently in the background, extracting passwords from all browsers and applications on the machine, capturing screenshots, and recording active session tokens. All data is compressed into a log file and transmitted to attacker infrastructure within seconds of collection. These logs are then organized and distributed through Telegram channels like DAISY CLOUD, where criminal groups download them and use the credentials in seperate automated attack campaigns.
