HEROIC's DarkHive intelligence system detected the DAISY CLOUD stealer log breach on December 17, 2023, when a Telegram user uploaded a file exposing 9,063 stolen records. The log followed the structured naming convention used by the DAISY CLOUD distribution network, indicating an organized operation for aggregating and sharing harvested credentials. The exposed data included email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs associated with online services accessed by the victims.

Why This Is Dangerous

Plaintext passwords require no cracking and can be deployed in attacks the moment the log is downloaded. The URLs contained in this breach reveal exactly which services and platforms the victims were actively using, allowing attackers to prioritize high-value targets such as corporate portals, banking sites, and cloud management consoles. Because stealer logs capture credentials at the point of use rather than from a database, the passwords are current and active rather than potentially outdated.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs

Why This Matters

DAISY CLOUD logs distributed via Telegram are downloaded by multiple criminal groups at the same time, meaning each victim's credentials are tested across dozens of platforms simultaneously. Credential stuffing attacks running on these logs hit banking portals, email providers, e-commerce accounts, and corporate VPNs within hours of the log going live. Any user whose email and password appear in this file and who reused thier password elsewhere faces account compromise on all of those services at once. Enterprises should treat any corporate email address appearing in stealer log dumps as a potential entry point for phishing or account takeover attacks.

How Stealer Log Works

Stealer log malware infects victim machines through phishing emails, malicious browser extensions, and trojanized software that appears to be legitimate tools. After gaining access, the malware silently sweeps through all credential storage locations including browser saved passwords, application configuration files, and active authentication cookies. Everything is packaged into a structured log and transmitted to attacker-controlled servers. The logs are then posted to Telegram channels like DAISY CLOUD where they are freely shared among criminal actors who launch seperate account takeover campaigns against each victim in the file.
