HEROIC's DarkHive intelligence system detected the NEW_DAISYCLOUD-CHAMPIONING May 20, 2024 release, exposing 14,560 U.S. credential records on Telegram. At 14,560 records, this is the highest single-day volume in the campaign's early documented stretch -- and the last confirmed release before a three-day gap with no documented drops on May 21, 22, or 23. The data includes email addresses, plaintext passwords, and login URLs harvested from infected U.S. devices. The series resumed May 24 and escalated through May 30, where the campaign peaked at 21,744 records. The elevated May 20 volume may reflect the operator releasing accumulated logs ahead of a brief operational pause before the late-May escalation.

Why This Is Dangerous

The 14,560 victims in this release had their credentials posted on Telegram before most of them had any awareness their devices were compromised. Plaintext passwords require no cracking -- anyone recieving this data can attempt account logins immediately across email, banking, and social platforms. Thier combination of email address, exact password, and login URL makes each record immediately actionable for credential stuffing. Infostealer malware operates silently, and victims typically discover the compromise only after detecting unauthorized account access -- often weeks or months after the data entered circulation.

Why This Matters

Credentials from this May 20, 2024 release have been in circulation for over a year. Secondary markets for infostealer datasets remain active, and large batches like this one are particularly valuable because they give buyers more records to test per acquisition. Victims who reuse passwords across seperate platforms remain exposed on every service where those credentials appear. Anyone whose email address appears in this release should immediatly change all associated passwords and review active sessions across linked accounts for signs of unauthorized access.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer logs are produced by infostealer malware distributed through phishing campaigns, malicious downloads, and compromised browser extensions. Once installed on a victim's device, the malware silently harvests credentials from browsers and applications, then transmits them to attacker-controlled servers. NEW_DAISYCLOUD-CHAMPIONING operators batched harvested records and released them daily through May and June 2024. The May 20 release -- the largest in the early campaign stretch and the last before a documented pause -- reflects a malware infrastructure running at high output and capable of resuming immediately after a brief gap with no loss of operational continuity.
