HEROIC analysts uncovered a stealer log labeled "DragonCloudFree 319 PCS," uploaded to Telegram and dated 21 February 2024. The file contains 5,730 records pulled from an estimated 319 infected computers, made up of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the login pages those credentials open. Because the passwords are stored in plaintext, no cracking is required. Anyone who obtains the file can use the credentials right away.

Why the DragonCloudFree Leak Is Dangerous

What makes this log dangerous is the pairing of each password with the exact web address it unlocks. An attacker does not need to guess where an email address is used. The URL is already sitting next to the password in the file. With 5,730 credential sets pulled from 319 separate machines, this single leak can hand an attacker working logins across dozens of different services in one download.

What Was Exposed in the DragonCloudFree Leak

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the associated login pages

Why This Matters Beyond These 319 PCs

Credentials pulled straight from an infected device are prime material for credential stuffing, where the same email and password combination is tried automatically across many other websites. If any of the 5,730 exposed passwords were reused on an email, banking, or shopping account, that account becomes reachable too. That is how a single stealer log turns into account takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud for people who never even knew their PC was infected.

How a Stealer Log Like This Gets Built

Stealer malware quietly infects a device, then scans the browser and installed apps for saved logins, autofill entries, and session data. Once the malware has run on enough machines, in this case 319, the operator bundles everything into a single file and distributes it through Telegram channels or dark web marketplaces. That is exactly how the DragonCloudFree file ended up circulating, packaged and labeled for whoever downloads it next.
