HEROIC analysts uncovered a stealer log labeled "EuropeClud," uploaded by a Telegram user and dated 9 June 2024. The log contains 9,737 records harvested directly from infected devices, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, login endpoints, and the API hosts those credentials connect to.

Why This Is Dangerous

A stealer log is different from an ordinary password leak. It comes straight from malware that ran on a victim's computer, capturing whatever was typed or saved in the browser at the time of infection. That means the passwords in this file are current, not years-old leftovers from an old breach. Anyone using this log can log directly into a victim's live accounts.

What Was Exposed in the EuropeClud Stealer Log

  • Email addresses tied to each infected device
  • Plaintext passwords captured at the time of infection
  • Login URLs and endpoints for the affected accounts
  • API hosts connected to the stolen credentials

Why This Matters: Fresh Credentials Mean Faster Account Takeover

Because stealer logs capture live, working logins, they are especially valuable to criminals running credential stuffing and account takeover campaigns. A password harvested this way can open email accounts, banking portals, or workplace systems before the victim even realizes their device was compromised. From there, attackers can pivot into identity theft or financial fraud using the access they already have.

How Stealer Logs Like EuropeClud Are Created

Stealer logs come from a category of malware called infostealers, which infect a device through a malicious download, a fake software crack, or a phishing link. Once installed, the malware quietly copies saved passwords, browser cookies, and autofill data, then sends everything back to the attacker in a packaged log file. These logs are then sold or shared in bulk on Telegram, exactly like the EuropeClud file HEROIC found.
