On August 2, 2026, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file, labeled Everlasting_Cloud_2, uploaded to a Telegram channel by an anonymous user. The file contains 8,549 records pulled directly from infected devices, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the sites those credentials unlock.

Why the Everlasting_Cloud_2 Log Is Dangerous

Because the passwords in this file are stored in plaintext, anyone who downloads it can use the credentials immediately, no cracking or guessing required. Each record also includes the URL of the site the login belongs to, meaning an attacker doesn't need to guess where to try a stolen password. They already know exactly which account, on which website, a given email and password combination will unlock.

What Was Exposed in the Everlasting_Cloud_2 Log

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs linking each credential to its source site

Why This Matters

Stealer logs like this one are a favorite tool for credential stuffing attacks, where criminals feed stolen email and password pairs into automated tools that try them across hundreds of other websites. Because so many people reuse the same password for email, banking, and shopping accounts, a single exposed login can open the door to account takeover, identity theft, or direct financial fraud, even if the original device is no longer infected.

How Stealer Logs Work

A stealer log is the output of information-stealing malware that infects a device and quietly harvests everything saved in the browser: stored logins, autofill data, and session details. Once the malware finishes collecting data, it packages the results into a file and sends it back to the attacker, who then sells or shares it in dark web marketplaces and private Telegram channels, like the one where HEROIC analysts found this file. Because the data comes from a real, active device rather than an old database, the credentials inside a stealer log are often still valid.
