In July 2025, a Telegram user uploaded a stealer log containing 26,111 records from Fehu Cloud Free Logs. The dataset included email addresses, plaintext passwords, and service URLs -- all harvested by infostealer malware running silently on victims' devices. Cloud storage credentials are among the most sought-after targets for cybercriminals, and this breach put more than 26,000 of them directly into criminal hands.

Why This Is Dangerous

Cloud storage is not just files. It is the digital backbone of how people and businesses operate. Documents, photos, tax records, business contracts, password recovery emails, and application backups all pass through cloud platforms. When attackers gain access to cloud credentials, they are not just reading files -- they can intercept password reset messages from other services, access linked applications, and use the compromized account as a launchpad for further attacks. The Fehu Cloud Free Logs dataset came with direct service URLs, meaning attackers had zero ambiguity about which platform each credential opened. They could begin testing logins within minutes of the file being posted on Telegram.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses (primary identifiers for cloud account access)
  • Plaintext passwords (no cracking or decryption needed -- ready to use immediately)
  • URLs (direct links identifying the exact cloud services compromised)

Why This Matters

Cloud credentials stolen through infostealer malware are particularily dangerous because they often include saved session tokens, meaning attackers may bypass two-factor authentication entirely. Even if a victim changes their password after learning of the breach, attackers who already established an active session may retain access. Beyond immediate account takeover, these credentials are aggregated into larger compilations and resold across dark web markets, extending the risk timeline well past the original breach date. Businesses with employees in this dataset face additional exposure: compromized personal cloud accounts frequently contain work documents, shared drives, and forwarded corporate emails.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Infostealer malware spreads through phishing campaigns, trojanized application installers, malicious browser extensions, and compromised download sites. Once running on a victim's machine, it operates completely invisibley. It extracts every credential saved in the browser, captures passwords entered into login forms, and records the URLs of every service the victim accesses. All of this is packaged into a structured log file and transmitted to an attacker-controlled server. Operators then bundle and distribute these logs on Telegram channels and dark web forums, where other threat actors purchase or freely download them to fuel credential-stuffing attacks.
