In April 2023, a Telegram user distributed a stealer log dataset known as FREE Sl1ddi Cloud 1 to public channels, exposing 999 records of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs harvested from infected devices. HEROIC analysts confirmed the breach on April 11, 2023. The free distribution of this data means it reached an audience of unknown size and has likely been copied across multiple underground channels since then. Every person in those 999 records is at elevated risk of identity theft and account takeover.

Why This Is Dangerous

The FREE Sl1ddi Cloud 1 dataset contains plaintext passwords captured directly from infected devices. There is no encryption to overcome and no hashing to reverse. Attackers who obtained this file could begin testing credentials against banking portals, email providers, and social media platforms within minutes. The URLs included in each record tell them exactly which platforms each victim uses, eliminating the guesswork from targeting. This makes credential stuffing and account takeover attacks significantly easier to execute than with an ordinary database breach.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (sites accessed from infected devices)

Why This Matters

When plaintext credentials from a stealer log reach public Telegram channels, the consequences compound quickly. Credential stuffing tools allow attackers to test stolen email and password pairs across hundreds of websites in hours. Anyone who reuses passwords across accounts faces the risk of a cascade of takeovers from a single exposure. Once an attacker controls an email inbox, they can reset passwords on linked accounts, intercept two-factor authentication codes, and lock the real owner out entirely. The seperate pieces of data in the FREE Sl1ddi Cloud 1 log, including URLs and email addresses, give attackers enough context to target victims personaly and make identity theft a realistic outcome rather than a theoretical one.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Stealer logs originate from malware infections on individual devices. An infostealer typically arrives through phishing emails, pirated software downloads, or malicious browser extensions. Once installed, it runs silently in the background, extracting all saved passwords, session cookies, and autofill data from the victim's browser. The harvested data is packaged and transmitted back to the attacker. In this case, the operator chose to distribute the log for free on Telegram, which is common when the goal is to build reputation in criminal communities rather than to sell data directly. Victims rarely recieve any warning that their credentials have been captured until accounts start showing unauthorised activity.
