In June 2023, a Telegram user distributed a stealer log labeled "GODELESS CLOUD" containing 10,979 compromised records. HEROIC's DarkHive intelligence platform flagged the file as it spread through underground Telegram channels used to trade stolen credential data. Three years have passed. The data hasn't gone anywhere. Stealer logs like this one get absorbed into larger combolists that conntinue circulating through criminal communities long after the original upload date.

Why This Is Dangerous

Unlike hashed database dumps that require cracking before use, the GODELESS CLOUD log contained plaintext passwords that were immediately ready for credential stuffing attacks. Attackers don't need to do any extra work. Every one of the 10,979 people in this file faced live account takeover risk the moment the file was uploaded, and the risk hasn't changed for anyone who hasn't rotated their passwords since June 2023. Stealer log data is extremelly persistent in criminal markets.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses: Nearly 11,000 real email addresses linked to compromised sessions and devices
  • Plaintext Passwords: Unencrypted passwords ready for immediate use in login attacks, no cracking required
  • URLs: The specific websites and platforms where the infostealer malware captured each victim's credentials

Why This Matters

The GODELESS CLOUD log has likely been downloaded, repackaged, and redistributed many times since its June 2023 debut. Data from stealer logs gets absorbed into larger combolists that remain in active use for years. If you were in this breach and haven't changed your passwords, your credentials may still be tested against banking apps, email providers, and cloud storage platforms on a daily basis. Time does not reduce the risk when the passwords are stored in plaintext.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

The name "GODELESS CLOUD" is likely a label chosen by the malware operator or the person who distributed the file. Infostealers of this type silently install on devices through phishing emails, fake software downloads, or compromised browser extensions. Once active, the malware harvests browser-saved passwords, cookies, and form entries before packagng everything into a structured log file. The file is then named, numbered, or branded and shared in underground communities as a tradeable asset.
