HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file posted to Telegram in July 2023 that exposed 7,082 records from GODELESS CLOUD users. The dataset, leaked on July 7, 2023, contained email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs extracted from compromised endpoint devices. Each record in this file represents a distinct device infection, with credentials captured live from the victim's machine at the time the malware was active.

With 7,082 exposed accounts including fully readable passwords and the specific URLs victims visited, this dataset gives attackers a complete profile for targeted credential attacks. There is no decryption or brute-force step required. Victims who haven't rotated credentials since mid-2023 are still vulnerable to direct account access, phishing followups, and identity-based fraud.

What Was Stolen From GODELESS CLOUD Users

  • Email Addresses - direct identifiers linking victims to their online accounts and enabling phishing at scale
  • Plaintext Passwords - stolen before browser encryption, fully readable and immediately usable for account takeover
  • URLs - records of which services victims actively used, allowing attackers to focus on the highest-value accounts first

Protecting Yourself After the GODELESS CLOUD Breach

Stealer log credentials are fed into automated stuffing tools that test them accross hundreds of platforms within hours of a file being shared. Every account where you've reused the same email and password combination becomes a potential entry point. A single compromised cloud storage login can expose shared files, work documents, and stored financial data. The personal information in this breach also arms attackers for social engineering: knowing which services you use and your email address is enough to construct convincing impersonation attempts targetting you or your contacts.

Steps to take now: change passwords on any service associated with the exposed email address, prioritize accounts where financial data or sensitive files are stored, enable two-factor authentication, and monitor your inbox for login alerts or account recovery emails you did not request.

Stealer log: The Method Used to Steal This Data

Stealer log malware installs silently on a victim's device and immediately begins harvesting saved credentials from web browsers, password managers, and active sessions. The malware specifically targets data stored locally, which means it captures passwords in their unencrypted form before the browser's own security layer can protect them. The resulting log file includes every username, password, and URL the browser had stored. These files are packaged and sold or freely distributed on Telegram channels frequented by cybercriminals, which is the exact distribution channel used for the GODELESS CLOUD dataset. With 7,082 device infections recorded in this single file, the campaign that produced it was sustained and widespread.
