HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log dataset known as GODELESS CLOUD, uploaded to a Telegram channel in September 2023 by an anonymous threat actor. The file contained 7,225 records pulled directly from infected devices, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of sites those victims were signed into. The data was catalogued in HEROIC's breach intelligence database and is confirmed verified.

Why This Is Dangerous

This is not an old breach where passwords need to be cracked. These were stolen live from devices and recorded in plaintext. An attacker with this dataset can immediatly attempt to access every site listed in the URL field using the coresponding credentials. There is no decryption step, no guessing -- just direct login attempts against real accounts.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (sites the victim was actively using)

Why This Matters

Plaintext passwords combined with email addresses are the perfect toolkit for credential stuffing attacks. Criminals load this data into automated tools and test each combination across hundreds of popular websites -- banking portals, streaming services, online retailers, and workplace systems. The majority of people reuse passwords, so a single stolen credential can cascade into account takeovers across multiple platforms.

Once an attacker controls your email, they own the keys to your digital life. They can intercept password reset requests, lock you out of your own accounts, and commit financial fraud before you realize anything is wrong. Identity theft can take months or years to fully resolve.

How Stealer Logs Work

A stealer log is a file produced by infostealer malware running on a victim's computer. The infection typically begins with a phishing link, a fake software download, or a malicious email attachment. Once installed, the malware quietly harvests every saved browser password, login cookie, and form autofill entry it can find. That data gets bundled into a structured log file and sent back to the attacker. The attacker then sells or distributes the logs through Telegram channels and dark web markets. GODELESS CLOUD is the name of one such distributed log colection.
