A Small Stealer Log Tied to "Good_Joomla" Surfaces on Telegram

In early February 2026, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log labeled "Good_Joomla" uploaded by a Telegram user. The file is small, just 2 records, but each one includes an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL the login belongs to. A log this size is often the byproduct of a single infected device rather than a large-scale hack, yet the credentials inside are just as usable as those in a much bigger breach.

Why This Is Dangerous

Because the passwords are stored in plaintext and matched directly to a URL, an attacker does not need to do any extra work to use this data. They can take the email, password, and web address as a set and log straight into the account, likely a Joomla powered website or its admin panel, without cracking or guessing anything.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Login URLs (including a Joomla related endpoint)

Why This Matters

Even with only 2 records, the impact can be significant if the site involved is a business website built on Joomla. Gaining admin access could let an attacker deface the site, plant malicious code, or pivot to other connected accounts. And if either password was reused elsewhere, the same credentials could open the door to email, banking, or social media accounts through credential stuffing.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer logs come from infostealer malware that infects a device and silently copies saved browser data: passwords, autofill entries, cookies, and the web addresses they belong to. The stolen information is bundled into a log file and shared or sold, frequently through Telegram, which is exactly where this small Good_Joomla log was found. Because it is pulled directly from a live machine, the data is typically accurate and ready to use the moment someone downloads it, regardless of how few records the log contains.

Check If You Are Affected

A 2-record leak might seem insignificant, but if one of those records is yours, the risk is very real. HEROIC's free breach scanner checks your email address against a database of more than 400 billion leaked records, including small stealer logs like this one, so you can quickly find out if you have been exposed and secure your accounts before someone else gets there first.
