On April 22, 2026, a Telegram user distributed a stealer log package labeled HARMONYLOGS - FREE LOGS -20.04.26, releasing 523 records into the wild. The file contains email addreses paired with plaintext passwords and URLs, giving anyone who downloads it an immediate, ready-to-use toolkit for account takeover. This is not a breach that requires decryption or technical skill to exploit. The data is open, readable, and already circulatting among cybercriminal communities.

Why This Is Dangerous

When attackers obtain a stealer log with plaintext passwords, they do not need to guess, crack, or brute-force anything. They have the exact credentials you typed into your browser or saved in your password manager. Combined with the URLs in this log, they know which sites and services those credentials belong to. Account takeover can begin within minutes of obtaining this file, and automated tools make it possible to test hundreds of logins simultaneously across dozens of platforms.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (service endpoints and login pages)

Why This Matters

The HARMONYLOGS package was shared publicly as a free sample, meaning it was not sold to a single buyer but distributed to anyone in the Telegram channel. This dramatically increases the number of threat actors who have access to these credentials. Password reuse is the force multiplier here: if a single credential appears in this log and is also used on a banking portal, email account, or corporate VPN, the victim faces exposure far beyond whatever platform the malware originally captured.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer malware infiltrates a device through phishing attacks, fake software installers, or compromised browser extensions. Once active, it silently records every credential entered into a browser, reads saved passwords, and logs session tokens. The harvested data is packaged into a structured log file and sent to operators who then share or sell it on platforms like Telegram. Victims have no warning their data was captured until logs surface publicaly or their accounts are accessed without authorization.
